India’s First Yarn Makers Guild – a vibrant community for both traditional and contemporary yarn makers, artists, and enthusiasts. Whether you’re a skilled artisan, an aspiring maker, or someone passionate about the art of yarn-making, the Yarn Makers Guild offers a platform to explore, share, and grow.

Founded by Avani Varia on October 2, 2020, as part of the Chalo Charkho Ramiye program, the Guild is dedicated to preserving and promoting India’s rich heritage of yarn-making while embracing contemporary techniques. Our goal is to create a global community that connects individuals who value the intricate art of spinning, weaving, and yarn crafting, both in its traditional forms and modern interpretations.

Memberships are open to yarn makers across India and individuals from around the world who are passionate about the craft. As a member, you will gain access to workshops, resources, and opportunities to connect with fellow makers, artists, and experts.

Join us in celebrating the timeless art of yarn-making, and become part of a community that appreciates the value of skill, creativity, and heritage.
